In total, there are about  2657  giant pandas in the world. On the 26th, at the 2024 Global Panda Partner Conference held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, Guan Zhiou said that China has established 67 giant panda nature reserves and officially established the Giant Panda National Park in 2021, forming a habitat protection system with the Giant Panda National Park as the main body. The total area has expanded from 1.39 million hectares to 2.58 million hectares, and 85% of the wild giant panda population has achieved genetic and habitat exchange.
